Oplex - Nsyrup 125 ml

The syrup is intended for the treatment of dry and wet coughs, including allergies.

Composition: Each 100 ml of syrup contains:

Oxomemazine 0.033g

Guaifenazine 0.666 g

Sodium benzoate 0.666 g

Auxiliary components:

Glycerol, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, caramel flavor, sucrose and purified water.

Properties: It is a combination of substances that contains an antihistamine, an antitussive and a sedative (oxomemazine), two expectorants (guaifenesin and sodium benzoate).

Pharmacokinetics: Guaifenesin is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. It is metabolized and then excreted in the urine. Sodium benzoate is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and combines with glycine in the liver to form hippuric acid, which is rapidly excreted in t urine.

Indications: The syrup is intended for the treatment of dry and wet coughs, including those associated with allergies.

Method of administration and dosage: The course of treatment should not exceed several days.

The use of this medication should be spread throughout the day.

Adults:

1-2 teaspoons of syrup 2 or 3 times a day, older people should start treatment with the lowest dose.

Children:

Up to 30 months: 1 to 3 teaspoons of syrup daily in 2 or 3 divided doses.

Over 30 months: 3-5 teaspoons of syrup d in 2 or 3 divided doses.

This medication should not be used in case of respiratory or liver failure.

Precautions: Do not use this medication in children under 6 years of age without the advice of a doctor.

Do not use this medication in children under 2 years of age.

A cough is a symptom that can indicate many medical conditions: consult your doctor if it persists for more than a few days. This syrup contains a large amount of sugar (sucrose), so it should not be used in patients with diabetes.

Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking as it increases the risk of drowsiness.

The drug can cause drowsiness or a decrease in concentration, therefore it is not recommended when driving vehicles and other mechanisms.

Side effects : Drowsiness, digestive disorders, thickening of bronchial secretions, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, urinary retention, confusion in the elderly and, less often, agitation in children.

Storage method: Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
